How To Make Your TV Watching Time Productive
Do you have favorite TV shows you watch regularly? Are you being productive while watching, or is your hand in the chip bag and you are totally zoned out as to what is going on around you? There are things you can do while you are watching TV to make that time more worthwhile and get you caught up on some chores in the process!
10 Productive Things You Can Do While Watching TV
#1 Work on your Christmas Cards
During the days leading up to the holidays, work on your Christmas cards to get them ready for mailing while watching your favorite TV show. Go ahead and write in them, address, and stamp them and you'll have completed a worthwhile task that won't have to be done later.
#2 Work on Crafts
If you're crafty, there are many that can be done while watching TV! Knitting and/or crocheting, scrapbooking, sewing, drawing, arranging flowers, etc are all possibilities. Think about your hobbies and find one you can do comfortably while watching your TV shows.
#3 Clean and Organize your Purse
Every woman knows what a mess her purse can get in, so organize and cleaning your purse is a perfect thing to do while watching TV. Throw out what can be thrown out, keep only what you know you will use, and organize the items in the purse so you will be able to find them quickly. You will feel good after you accomplish this task!
#4 Plan Meals for the Week and Write your Grocery List
Planning your menus for the week and writing a grocery list is an easy task to do while watching TV, and it will save you time later!
#5 Pay your Bills
Whether you pay your bills online or still write checks, I often do this while watching TV. Again, it will free up time later for you to do something else.
#6 Read your Emails and Clean out your Inbox
While watching your favorite show, take a few minutes to read your emails, respond to them, and then clean out as much as you can your inbox, by saving, deleting, or moving your emails.
#7 Sort (anything)
I often sort things while I watch TV. The possibilities are endless! You can sort your sock drawer, your trash mail from your good mail, jewelry (for keeping or putting in the yard sale), magazine racks to get rid of old magazines, and when you start thinking about your own circumstances, you will discover many sorting options that will help you.
#8 Exercises
Exercising while watching TV is a good choice, however it is probably the least favorite thing to do for most, including myself. But lifting weights, doing squats, practicing the plank, stretching, lunges and yoga are just a few things that can be accomplished while you are watching the tube. Although least liked, exercising while viewing TV will encourage better health, and that is something every one of us needs.
#9 Folding Laundry
While watching TV or a movie, folding laundry is a mundane task that requires no thinking, so it is the perfect task to get caught up on while engaged in a program or a movie. You'll be glad you did it!
#10 Polish or Clean your Shoes
Our shoes sometimes get ignored as far as cleaning, polishing and shining. Gather up your well worn shoes and give them some attention while watching your favorite TV shows! It will feel so good to put on freshly cleaned and polished shoes when you need them.
If you accomplish some tasks while watching TV, you can still take a few minutes to rest and enjoy your programs. I'm just saying it is wise to try to accomplish some other tasks during your TV time, so that all of that time will not be wasted. It is always better to kill lots of birds with one televised stone! You won't regret it!

What to ask my aunt for Christmas?

Do U think advocates for illegals should offer moral support to an illegal immigrant from Honduras?
Police in Middletown say they have arrested an illegal immigrant from Honduras who used at least one juvenile to help him pull off a yearlong string of burglaries in that town and others.
Here?s the full text of a news release from Lieutenant Joe Capriotti:
The Middletown Township Police Department has arrested a Middlesex County man who was employing juveniles in a burglary ring that operated in Monmouth County, Union County and Somerset County.
Middletown Twp. Detective Gerald Weimer, Detective Michael Kenney and Holmdel Detective Sergeant James Smythe have been investigating a string of residential burglaries in Middletown, Holmdel and Marlboro occurring over the past year. A break in the case came recently when forensic evidence recovered at one of the burglaries identified a fifteen (15) year old juvenile from Elizabeth as a suspect. Further investigation determined a 29 year old man with numerous aliases, (Joeys Sebastian Cruz, Jorge Luna, Joeys Sebastian Cruz Morales, Manuel Gomez, Jorge Armondo Vadladares Luna), also from Elizabeth, was soliciting juveniles to accompany him to homes throughout central and northern New Jersey to commit burglaries.
DSG. Smythe, Det. Weimer and Det. Kenney arrested Cruz on January 19, 2010 in Elizabeth with the assistance of Elizabeth Police Detective James Ponto. A search of Cruz?s residence revealed proceeds that have been identified from home burglaries in Middletown, Holmdel. Marlboro and Green Brook, N.J. Other items recovered, including jewelry, TV components and electronics have yet to be identified. The investigation is continuing with additional charges expected as more information is gathered.
The 15 year old from Elizabeth has been charged with burglary, theft and conspiracy to commit burglary and additional juveniles are expected to be charged. Cruz has been charged with burglary, theft, conspiracy to commit burglary and theft and hindering apprehension by giving false names to law enforcement officers.
Cruz is being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of $100,000 bail on the local charges. Additionally it is believed Cruz, who is a native of Honduras, is in the United States illegally under the name of Jorge Luna and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency has issued a no bail immigration detainer pending their investigation.
