Below are five websites to use for studying for tests in college. There are three tips below the websites to help you take notes and study using the notes taken in class.

Studyguidezone.com

At this website, it breaks the study guides up by degree-based guides and actual practice tests. This site is beneficial for those going to graduate school or going for a business degree.

Testtakingtips.com

This test taking site helps students by helping with practice tests, study skills, and less-stressful cramming for tests. The site also helps with those who deal with test anxiety issues, like myself.

Collegeboard.com

At collegeboard.com, they provide you with the knowledge on boosting your test-taking skills. It is beneficial for those who stress out before midterms and semester-end finals. Follow the steps on the website to do well on your exams.

Research Papers

According to Bruce Ballenger's fourth edition of "The Curious Researcher: A Guide to Writing Research Papers, " he has several points on notetaking. they are as follows:

'Becoming an Activist Notetaker'

In this section, he talks about how notetaking can help with the writing process and he shows you what he is talking about. Ballenger shows an example from an essay and writes what he thinks about it. The he rewrites that to show what he thinks about it. For example, when you read a piece of information, you write what yo think about, then re-read what you wrote then fix it up to put in your paper. It can and does help, when you want to get your point across.

'Notetaking Techniques'

Ballenger also wrote a section to help in the process. There are several ways to take notes, one would be by notecards. He states that students do find this very useful. Mr. Ballenger does also suggest double-entry journals; the research log, an alternative to double journaling; and narrative notetaking, where you layer up what you read.

Conclusion

Look at the links provided and you might do better than expected on your tests and major exams. I know that most instructors will tell you what's on the upcoming test. Some instructors even give you a study guide to help you prep for the test. These tips maybe beneficial when writing a college or high school research paper or any type of paper. Taking notes makes it easier to get a better grade or selling a product to the executives. Research is everything. Just remember to follow some advice and you'll do great.
