Tiger will donate $3M to aid Haiti

Haiti, a tiny island nation in the Caribbean, was rocked by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake late Tuesday afternoon. The International Red Cross estimated that 45, 000 to 50, 000 were killed. International community are providing rescue.

The billionaire golfer ?Tiger Woods ?The golf ace, 33, still reeling from a sex scandal, was moved by TV images of the island's devastation.is considering donating $3 million to send doctors and medical supplies to Haiti, hip hop mogul Russell Simmons told the New York Daily News.

"Tiger Woods is working on sending a mobile hospital with 50 EMTs to go set up a triage, " Simmons said Wednesday night, according to the Daily News.

A Simmons spokesman told the Daily News that officials from Woods' management team are "excited" about the prospect of helping Haiti, which is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphire.

Woods has also been approached by singer Wyclef Jean's Yele relief group to assist Haiti.

Woods has largely tried to stay out of the public eye since his vehicle accident in late November and admission of infidelity , his wife hurt him by golf clubs

He can regain his public image.
