What does it take to make it as a Graphic Illustrator ?
YahooGroups and 360-blog journal has been very helpful to me, as well as Geocities HTML webpages. I'm curious if cell-phone 2D anime will be a good way to get attention to new comicbook ideas. What basic software and skills are needed - which a cell-phone anime and comic illustrator need to reach that target audience ? I've seen ads for Jamster, and games that can be played with on a mobile phone as well as picture taking... what about folks who want to show others the kind of artwork illustrations and 2D-anime work ? Again, this is my first question posed to Answers.yahoo.com Rather than asking something irrelivant, or something that just wastes time that you have, and mine as well. Can you be honest with me and say... what have you've learned through producing original material and getting the word out there about your skill level as an artist in today's changing internet technology ? creative career advice?
I'm really stuck with what I want to do with my life and what job I want. I have got 3 A Levels and I am going to start an Art foundation at College soon. I would like a job that involves design with travelling, I love to travel and I am very creative. But I don't know what job would suit me. I was thinking about Advertising within design, like public relations, marketing and market research but don't really know much about it. I've also written a list which includes; online multimedia/ web design, graphic design, graphic illustrator and a freelance designer. Who do you talk to? Does anyone on here have one of these jobs? I've been googling creative careers all morning and not much luck..

I need help with my Art GCSE?
I have the starting point of an Artist Study. I've researched 4 artists. Yayoi Kusama- a lady who is obsessed with DOTS! She does structures, installations and fabic design. Loretta Lux- A photographer, shes pretty cool. She does pictures of children, and edits the photos to make them look slightly surreal. Martin Parr- A British photojournalist, focusing on society and cultures of Britain. Hes quite up close and personal with his photography Erica Burns/Ery Burns- a graphic illustrator. She did the Virgin holidays ad campaign. Her stuff is really cool, quite peaceful but motivating. Its bring and chirpy :D I love all the artists I've chosen but I don't really know how to pull it all together for a final piece. If you know what I mean? Any ideas would be welcomed!!
