Actors and Musicians Falling in Love - The Failures

Celebrity couples always make for an interesting, roller-coater, highly publicized romance. In the past twenty-five years actors and actresses dating musicians has become a popular fad in the world of Hollywood. Just take a look at the repeat offenders, Heather Locklear with both Tommy Lee and Richie Sambora and of course Pamela Anderson with both Lee and Kid Rock. Is it the fact that bombshell actresses are dancing on bar stools to their songs? Or the fact that grungy, tattooed rockers are in some ways irresistible? We will never know. What we do know for sure is that most of these hookups don't always make it happily ever after. In same cases, it's no surprise. I mean who gets hitched after three days of bonding?

Here is a list of failed relationships between actors and musicians who fell in love once upon a time.

• Tommy Lee and Heather Locklear married in 1986. They divorced in 1993.
• Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear hooked up about 16 months later, had a daughter in '97 and divorced a good ten years later.
• Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson shacked up in 1995 after knowing each other 96 hours, had some troubles during Lee's 4 year long prison sentence, subsequently divorced in 1998, but still had sex off and on during 2008.
• Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock married in 2006 after an on-off relationship but broke up in less than six months.
• Madonna and Sean Penn got hitched in 1995 but divorced in 1989 after Penn pleaded guilty for domestic assault.
• Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon got together in 1995 but broke up in 2002. In 2003 they reunited and got hitched and bore a son only to separate once again in 2008.
• Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro had a steamy relationship set off by marriage in 2003 but divorced in '06 far after they were able to document their love in MTV's reality series "Till Death Do us Part."
• Chris Robinson and Kate Hudson got married in 2000 after dating for quite a long time, had a son together in 2004, and sadly got a divorce in 2007.
• Lyle Lovett and Julia Roberts had a short lived romance of about three weeks back in 1993.
• Michael Bolton and Nicollette Sheridan had a 2006 engagement that was called off a short two years later.
• Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet eloped on her 20th birthday and got hitched in 1987 at a Vegas chapel. They had a child a year later and got divorced in ‘89.
  
  Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli married each other back in 1981, they lasted quite some time with a short separation in 2001 but called it quits for good with a divorce in 2007.
